The Derby Continues
From 2009 through 2026 this derby supported our nation’s finest. Now a new team is carrying it forward into 2027. Same lake, same cause, next chapter.

From 2009 through 2026, this derby put thousands of anglers on the ice and raised money every year for a chosen veteran service organization. To the founders, volunteers, and sponsors who built that run: thank you. We intend to make you proud.
Veterans first. And now, more of our community.
For 17 years, every dollar this derby raised went to Veterans Path to Hope Outdoors, funding therapeutic outdoor recreation that helps veterans and their families build healthy coping skills and improve their quality of life. That commitment continues.
Starting in 2027, we’re widening the net. Derby proceeds will also support children fighting illness, the firefighters who protect our towns, and local foundations and scholarships right here in our community.

Keeping derby dollars working close to home through area foundations and student scholarships.
Proceeds will be divided equally among the four organizations selected each year. Final beneficiaries for the 2027 derby will be announced ahead of the event.
